Isle of Wight Festival chaos???

John Giddings, the Festival organiser, has announced he has again held back 1,000 tickets for purchase ‘on the door’. While this is very commendable does he really understand the implications. Every other Festival organiser seems to have seen the error of their ways by abandoning this route. We know that the Ticket Scammers will be in their element with this announcment because they will advertise many tickets with no intention of supply when due.

Our concerns involve the safety of the consumer which at all times must be PARAMOUNT. A ‘first come first served’ policy could entail, as in the past, ‘Tens of Thousands’ turning up expecting tickets. In 2007 the festival had more than seven THOUSAND fans show up with no or forged tickets. Thus adding to and causing untold chaos all over the Island.
