Code of Ethics

The Association requires its members to maintain a high level of ethics in the marketplace and therefore has adopted a set of standards and procedures that govern the conduct of its members.

Apart from the contractual requirements of the Code of Practice, in order to qualify for membership to the Association members must also:

  • Maintain regular business hours from a permanent business address within the United Kingdom. Maintain a business telephone, with a published number, at this location. Display the ASTA logo on all websites and relevant stationery.

  • Members may, should they choose, enter into the ASTA Guarantee and as such they are required to display the Financial Services Authority logo on the relevant stationary and Website.
  • Members may also be permitted to display the Lloyds of London Underwriters Guarantee on their stationary and Website should they be enrolled in the Insurance Scheme
The Consumer Focus demonstrated by fully qualified Members of this Association ensures a smooth, safe, accountable transaction. A ticket purchased from a member of this Association carries with it the weight of answerability and transparency today's consumer has come to expect of any retail organisation.
